Volunteering

The Foundation’s concerts, festival and master classes rest not only on the musicians. If you are ready to help with your time and your hands — write to us.

Background

Where help is needed

The Foundation has been working since 1994 and runs about twenty projects each month — concerts, tours, exhibitions and educational programmes for gifted children. More about this — on the “Projects” page.

The Foundation’s flagship is the international festival “Moscow Meets Friends”. It has been held annually since 2004; the XXIII festival will take place on 1–10 October 2026 at the finest venues in Moscow. The programme includes concerts, exhibitions and master classes for young participants from Russia and from abroad.

Besides the festival, the Foundation holds concerts and master classes all year round: the calendar and the list of events are in the “Events” section. Every such event means meeting the participants, working with the hall, filming and coordination backstage. This is exactly where the help of volunteers is felt most.

Volunteers of the Foundation

Work at the festival

Over the years, volunteers from Moscow universities have contributed to the work of the “Moscow Meets Friends” festival — the N. I. Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, MGIMO and GITIS.

Volunteer advisers

Once the applications have been selected, the Foundation’s volunteer advisers contact every participant who has made the festival lists and explain what to do next.

Areas

How you can help

Below are the areas where extra hands are needed most often. The particular set of tasks depends on the event and the venue, so it is agreed with the coordinators in advance.

Concerts and the festival

Meeting and accompanying the young participants, helping at registration, working backstage and in the hall during the performances.

Filming and photography

Photographing and filming concerts, master classes and exhibitions — for the Foundation’s archive, its news and the gallery of the site.

Working with guests

Guiding people around the venue, helping audiences and the families of participants, staffing the information desk, answering simple questions.

Translation

The festival receives participants from abroad, so help with interpreting and written translation is sometimes needed.

To make it easier for the coordinators to reply, it is worth stating in your letter your city, a convenient time and the area that appeals to you most. The detailed conditions of participation, the schedule and the range of tasks are settled with the Foundation’s coordinators — by email at info@spivakov.ru or by the telephone numbers on the “Contacts” page.
