Major grant and social initiatives, competitions and educational programmes — each month the Foundation carries out around twenty projects across the world.
A project for Moscow and the Moscow Region: around fifteen concerts at leading venues and eight master classes for young musicians aged 8–16. The participants are 200 talented children, scholarship holders and members of the Foundation’s programmes. At the final concert the audience is greeted by Maestro Vladimir Spivakov. The concertgoers are wards of charitable foundations and social institutions of the capital region.
The project brought together regional philharmonic societies, concert halls, orchestras and leading specialised schools from 12 regions of Russia, as well as Moscow teachers. Seventeen concerts are planned — in Tambov, Kursk, Voronezh, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Kostroma, Bryansk, Petrozavodsk, Tver, Lipetsk and Moscow. Each concert is accompanied by a master class. The project’s artistic director is Pyotr Gulko.
A competition for solo instrumentalists and ensembles — chamber groups, orchestras and choirs. Any instrument may be played, from piano and violin to folk instruments. Participants are aged 12–16, and children with disabilities are also invited to take part. The winners receive a place in the Foundation’s concert programmes, master classes, named scholarships and musical instruments as a gift.
The Foundation’s educational projects are master classes given by outstanding musicians and teachers for scholarship holders and participants in the concert programmes. Lessons are held in piano, violin, voice, wind, percussion, bayan and harp — including online, across the Russian regions and at venues abroad.
