Campaigns, fundraisers and projects with a definite deadline and a definite occasion — what the Foundation does in addition to its permanent programmes.
The Foundation’s permanent programmes run year after year: named scholarships, the “Moscow Meets Friends” festival, master classes given by outstanding musicians. Initiatives work differently. Each has its own occasion and its own deadline — to raise money for an instrument for a particular child, to hold a series of concerts under a grant, to support a campaign run by partners.

Around fifteen concerts and eight master classes for young musicians aged 8–16 in Moscow and the Moscow Region, with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. The concertgoers are wards of charitable foundations and social institutions. The closing concert took place on 18 May 2025.
More about the project → 2024 — March 2025Seventeen concerts with master classes in 12 regions of Russia — from Tambov and Kursk to Petrozavodsk and Yekaterinburg. This project of the Presidential Grants Fund brought together regional philharmonic societies, orchestras and specialised schools. The artistic director is Pyotr Gulko.
More about the project → CompetitionA competition for solo instrumentalists and groups aged 12–16 — ensembles, orchestras and choirs; children with disabilities are also invited to take part. The winners receive master classes, named scholarships, musical instruments as a gift and a place in the Foundation’s concert programmes.
More about the competition → Since 1 July 2015A payment innovation in which a single donation is shared between several foundations working in different fields — helping children, the elderly, hospices and nature. The Vladimir Spivakov Foundation has taken part in the programme since its launch.

This is how funds were raised for a trumpet for Maxim Sopov, a clarinet for Polina Kharlanova from Crimea, a guitar for Miroslav and a flute for nine-year-old Anya Manaenkova from the Tambov Region.

Lists and stories →Two concerts by the Foundation’s wards in the public area of Terminal B at Sheremetyevo Airport, during Aeroflot’s celebration. The programme was hosted by the Foundation’s artistic director Pyotr Gulko, together with a serving aircraft commander and a flight attendant.

Read the news → 21 May 2022A concert by the Foundation’s scholarship holders at the Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve, timed to coincide with International Museum Day. The celebration was dedicated to the Year of Intangible Cultural Heritage and was held under the motto “More than a museum”: music of the 17th–20th centuries sounded in the estate.

The Vladimir Spivakov Foundation is among the partners of the “Miles of Mercy” project: the donated miles turn into tickets for children.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A. D. Kaprin and the rector of the V. I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute A. A. Lyubavin took part in the event, and the institute’s teachers and students were in the audience.
Read the news → 18 May 2019During the “Night of Museums” an exhibition of drawings by the wards of the foundations taking part in the “VSEM” programme opened at the Museum of Russian Impressionism. The works of the Spivakov Foundation’s scholarship holders hung beside paintings by Russian impressionists, while visitors guessed the authors and supported the foundations with donations.
Read the news → October 2017The Hennessy social and cultural foundation, together with the Vladimir Spivakov Foundation, gathered friends, partners and lovers of art for a charity auction and dinner at the Museum of Russian Impressionism. All the proceeds went to the Foundation.
Read the news → May 2016After the ceremonial opening of the XIII International Festival “Moscow Meets Friends”, the foyer of the Svetlanov Hall became the venue for a dinner and a charity auction in aid of the Foundation. The lots were provided by Maestro Vladimir Spivakov, by partners, trustees and friends of the Foundation.

A donation to the Foundation means an instrument in a child’s hands, a journey to a competition and a concert that would otherwise never happen.
